OTTAWA – Beginning next Monday, Swimming Canada will be offering two unique opportunities to take part in the Olympic & Para-swimming Trials.

Clubs can experience Trials through the Club Group Tickets option, which is offered exclusively to Swimming Canada provincial branches or member clubs. With just 600 available tickets per day, these $25 passes give you access to both preliminary and final races for the day purchased. This is a great way to expose young athletes to elite level competition while enjoying a day out with their fellow swimmers. Club Group Ticket benefits include:

• Commemorative Swimming Canada swim cap first 2000 tickets sold, a.
• An “evening pep-talk” by a former Olympic athlete before each night’s finals session.
• With the purchase of 20 tickets or more, your club will be eligible to book a training session time, that day, in the Trials warm up pool from 2:30-4:30 p.m. (To be coordinated through Swim Ontario).

Club Group Tickets are general admission by special Swimming Canada wristbands and are on a first-come, first-served basis. As a result, they are subject to availability. Club Group seats are located in the area adjacent to the diving tank at Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.

The second way to take part in the Olympic &Para-Swimming Trials is through an Individual Event Sponsorship opportunity. At a cost of $200 per event, sponsors will receive two day-pass tickets, which are good for both preliminary and final racing. Not only will the sponsor’s name will be denoted in both the printed and electronic versions of the competition’s program, but it will also be announced during the introduction of their event during the finals session. This opportunity is a great way to/for:

• Get your club recognized
• Honour a future Olympian from your club
• Pay tribute to a sponsor
• Parents, grandparents & extended family to show their support
• Past Olympians and alumni to “buy their event”

Individual Event Sponsorship is available on a first-come, first-served basis with a total of 50 available. You may sponsor as many events as you wish. The deadline for this opportunity is March 18. These sponsorships are not eligible for tax receipts. Due to contractual obligations, Individual Event Sponsorship cannot be granted to requests from any of the following:

• Banks & financial institutions
• Insurance companies
• Other financial service providers
• Department stores
• Swimwear companies
• Copier/imaging companies
• Any company that may be deemed to be in competition with the Worldwide Olympic Partners
