Ashley’s Bio

  • At the FINA World Championships in Budapest, McGregor finished 14th in the 200-m breaststroke with a personal best.
  • At the 2017 Canadian Swimming Trials in Victoria, McGregor qualified for her first FINA World Championships with a silver medal in the 200-m breaststroke in a personal best time.
  • It had been a seven-year hiatus from the senior national team for the determined McGregor, who represented Canada at the 2010 Pan Pacific Championships in Irvine, Calif. Her best result there was an 8th place finish in the 50-m breaststroke.
  • At the 2016 Canadian Swimming Championships in Edmonton, McGregor individually earned herself two gold, a silver and a bronze medal. She was also a member of two Pointe-Claire Swim Club relays where she won a gold and a bronze medal.
  • At the Mesa stop of the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series, McGregor finished second in the 200-m breaststroke.
  • McGregor was a member of the 2013 Summer Universiade Team where she finished 13th in the 200-m breaststroke.
  • She was a standout at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she won four medals including gold in the 200-m breaststroke.
  • In 2009, McGregor competed at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Guam. She swam in the prelims of the 4×100-m medley relay that later won a silver medal.
