Swimming Canada will use the funds generated from the 50/50 to support youth swimming in Ontario. These funds will allow the organization to fund and support the delivery of swimming programming through the High Performance Centre – Ontario (HPC-ONT). In addition to funding priority programming within the HPC-ONT (i.e. the Ontario athlete development pathway), these funds will directly support the promotion of swimming for health, inclusion and fun amongst youth in Ontario.

These important funds will also make the upcoming Bell Canadian Swimming Trials more accessible for youth to attend and participate in, in various capacities. As we continue to recover our membership numbers post-pandemic, bringing the Ontario swimming community together on the road to the Paris Olympics and Paralympics is vital.
