BIOGRAPHY

Edgar Théorêt, who began his career as a teacher and swim coach, was hired as technical director and executive director for Swim Québec. Throughout his 20 year career for Swim Québec, the 71 year old Théorêt was influential in bringing major events to the city. Edgar was also the co-founder of the Québec Sports Hall of Fame in 1991, and he has been president of the organization ever since.
In 2007, Edgar was honored with the Jacques Beauchamp Award for his contributions to the Québec sports scene at the 35th Sports-Québec Gala.
