HPC ATHLETE TIERING MODEL

Level  Swimming Canada Term Eligibility Access
Tier 1 World-Class Achievement

– Individual Medalist at the Paralympic Games

– Individual Medalist at the World Para Swimming Championships

– Current recipient of an SR1 or SR2 Card

Full funding, unless otherwise directed by the HPC-Que Head Coach

Access
– Includes all camps and competitions (international and domestic)

Full Access to all HPC-QUE IST services through a delivery plan approved by the Swimming Canada IST Director

Tier 2 World-Class Performance

– Top 10 placing in the World at the 2016 Paralympic Games or 2019 World Para Swimming Championships

– Current recipient of an AAP Card

– Maintains a performance improvement

Partial funding

Access
– Includes all camps and competitions (international and domestic), unless otherwise directed by head coach
– Full training group access
– Full Access to all HPC-QUE IST services through a delivery plan approved by the Swimming Canada IST Director

Tier 3 World-Class Potential &
HPC-QUE Head Coach Discretion

– Demonstrates the attributes consistent with the GMP and Trending toward World Class Performance level;

– Any other identified athletes who would enhance the training group.

– Maintains a performance improvement

Partial Funding

Access
Includes all camps and competitions (international and domestic), unless otherwise directed by head coach
– Full training group privileges
– Full Access to all HPC-QUE IST services through a delivery plan approved by the Swimming Canada IST Director
– Swimmers may be added to the CAIP program at their cost.

Tier 4 Visiting Athlete

– Carded or Swimming Canada Development Program athletes who demonstrate the attributes consistent with the GMP and identified for a regularly scheduled visitation program.

– Home coach agrees to CHP-Que Head Coach leading planning and programming

Monthly training fee unless otherwise directed by head coach

Access
– Training group privileges, during the designated visitations.
– Swimmers may be added to the CAIP program at their cost.
