Adam’s Bio

  • Rahier won silver in the 100-m backstroke and bronze in the 200-m IM at the 2015 Toronto Parapan Am Games. He was also 6th in the 100-m breaststroke.
  • He swam three events at the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.
  • He added to his medal collection at the 2015 Speedo Can Am Para-swimming Championships in Toronto by placing second in the 200-metre individual medley and third in both the 100-m backstroke and 100-m breaststroke.
  • Rahier returned home with a perfect medal set from the Pan Pacific Para-swimming Championships in 2014. He won the gold medal in the 200-m individual medley in Canadian record time, the silver in the 100- m butterfly and the bronze in the 100-m breaststroke.
  • Rahier raced in three events at the 2013 IPC World Championships in Montreal. His best result was an eighth place finish in the 200-m individual medley.
  • In 2011, Rahier was one of Canada’s top swimmers at the Parapan Am Games earning a gold and two silver medals.
  • He has competed at the world championships, the World Cup and several Can Am championships.
  • He started with the Special Olympics and also with his community swim club in Powell River, B.C
