Danielle’s Bio

• Hanus earned two medals at the 2023 Pan American Games including an individual bronze in 100-metre backstroke and was part of the team to win gold in the 4×100 medley.
• At the Lima 2019 Pan American Games, Hanus captured silver in the 100-m backstroke and 100-m butterfly, both in personal best times. Hanus was also a member of the women’s 4×100-m medley and the mixed 4×100-m medley that brought home silver medals.
• Danielle Hanus was named Female Swimmer of the Year at the 2022 USPORTS Swimming Championships after collecting five gold medals (50-m backstroke, 100-m backstroke, 200-m backstroke, 4×100-m medley relay, 4×200-m freestyle relay) along with a silver medal in the 4×100-m freestyle relay.
• At the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships, Hanus was a member of the mixed 4×100-m medley that finished fourth. Individually, she finished seventh in the 200-m butterfly, eighth in the 100-m butterfly.
• At the 2019 Canadian Swimming Trials, Hanus won gold in the 50-m backstroke in a personal best time and silver in the 200-m butterfly, qualifying her for the 2019 Pan American Games.
• At the 2018 Canadian Swimming Trials in Edmonton, Hanus qualified for her first senior A national team by earning a silver in the 100-m backstroke and a bronze in the 100-m butterfly.
• Hanus made it to the semifinals in the 50-m backstroke (16^th) and 100-m backstroke (16^th) at the 2017 Universiade in Taipei.
• At the 2016 Junior Pan Pacific Championships, Hanus finished fifth in the 100-m backstroke.
• She competed at the 2014 Australian Age Group Championships, 2014 Youth Olympic Games, 2014 Junior Pan Pacific Championships and the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships representing Canada.
• At the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships in Singapore, she had a bronze medal finish in the 50-m backstroke.
• At the Australian Age Group Championships in 2014, she ran away with an impressive seven medals: two gold, one silver and four bronze.
• At the 2014 Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Kihei, Maui, Hawaii, she earned herself a silver in the 100-m backstroke and a bronze in the 4×100-m medley.
