• At the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Smith was a member of the women’s 4×100-m freestyle that captured silver, Canada’s first medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Smith was also a part of the 4×200-m freestyle relay that broke the Canadian record and placed fourth. Smith swam the freestyle leg of the mixed 4×100-m medley relay team that finished 13^th.
• At the FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) 2022 in Melbourne, Australia ,Smith was part of four relay teams that reached the podium with a silver medal in the women’s 4×200 freestyle relay; and bronze medals in the women’s 4×100 freestyle and medley relays along with 4×50 mixed medley relay. The women’s 4×100 free relay set a Canadian record. Smith also saw the podium as an individual, taking silver in the 200-m freestyle.
• At the 2021 FINA World Championships (25m), Smith was a member of the 4×200-m freestyle that won gold and broke the Canadian and Americas record. She also won gold and broke the Canadian record as a member of the 4×100-m freestyle team. Smith swam in the preliminaries for the mixed 4×50-m freestyle that went on to win gold. Individually, Smith captured silver and broke the Canadian record in the 200-m freestyle.
• At the 2022 FINA World Championships in Budapest, Smith swam in the women’s 4×200-m freestyle relay that earned bronze and was a heat swimmer for the 4×100-m freestyle relay that went on to capture silver. Individually, she finished 12th in the 100-m butterfly.
• At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Smith was a member of the 4×100-m freestyle relay and the mixed 4×100-m freestyle relay that earned bronze. She also swam in the preliminaries for the mixed 4×100-m medley relay that captured silver. Individually, she placed 7^th in the 100-m freestyle and 8^th in the 100-m butterfly.
• At the Gwangju 2019 FINA World Championships, Smith was a member of the women’s 4×100-m medley, and 4×100-m and 4×200-m freestyle teams that captured bronze. Individually, Smith finished 10^th in the 100-m butterfly in a personal best time.
• At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Smith was a member of the  4×200-m freestyle relay team that brought home silver. Smith finished fifth in the 50-m butterfly and sixth in the 100-m butterfly in personal best times.
• At the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships, Smith was a member of the 4×100-m and 4×200-m freestyle relays that took home bronze. She also finished fourth in the 100-m butterfly and the women’s 4×100-m medley relay.
• At the 2017 FINA World Junior Championships in Indianapolis, Smith won two gold medals in the women’s 4×100-m and 4×200-m freestyle relay. She also added a pair of individual medals including silver in the 100-m butterfly and bronze in the 50 fly.
• At the 2017 FINA World Championships in Budapest, Smith swam the butterfly leg in preliminaries for the mixed 4×100-m medley relay team that won the bronze medal. Smith received a medal for her efforts, a first medal at long-course worlds for Smith.
• At the 2016 Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Kihei, Maui, Smith earned three individual silver medals in the 100-m freestyle, 200-m freestyle and 100-m butterfly.
• At the same event she was a member of the 4×100-m freestyle and 4×100-m medley relays that both won silver medals to bring her total to five.
• At the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships in Singapore, she earned herself a silver and bronze in the 4×100-m freestyle relay and 4×200-m freestyle relay.
