First phase of tickets on sale for Olympic and Paralympic Trials

News –

MONTREAL – Select tickets are now available for the Olympic & Paralympic Swimming Trials, presented by Bell.

Swimming Canada’s flagship event is set for May 13-19 at the Olympic Pool in Montreal’s Centre sportif du Parc Olympique.

As Canada’s best swimmers continue their preparations on the road to Trials, fans can now purchase full event passes, and weekend passes. In addition, clubs can access special group rates.

This year’s prices have been reduced an average of 20 per cent from the Olympic & Paralympic Trials scheduled for 2020.

Full event passes covering all seven days will be available for $208 (plus taxes and fees), with a weekend pass covering the final three days for $104. Clubs purchasing a minimum of 10 tickets for their group will be able to purchase at a rate of $16 per ticket. This discounted club rate can be unlocked using a promocode that will be distributed by the Provincial Sections directly to the clubs.

“In a season of rising costs, rising ticket prices have been no exception. We wanted to make it more affordable for fans to watch Canada’s best swimmers, and maybe even inspire the next generation’s Olympic and Paralympic dreams,” said Swimming Canada Marketing Director Alan Raphael.

The dramatic seven-day event serves as Swimming Canada’s selection meet to nominate the teams that will represent Canada at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Star international medallists including Nicholas Bennett, Danielle Dorris, Summer McIntosh, Maggie Mac Neil, Josh Liendo, Kylie Masse, Aurelie Rivard and Nicolas-Guy Turbide are expected to vie for spots against other top Canadian swimmers from coast-to-coast.

“The Olympic and Paralympic Trials is our premier event of the quadrennial. We are excited to bring the Olympic Park facility to life so fans can have a first-class entertainment experience to watch all the action in the pool, as well as activations to connect with our sport and our athletes outside the pool,” Raphael said.

“This is everyone’s chance to guarantee the best seats in the house with our seven-day and weekend passes, as well as for clubs to get in on the action at a reduced group rate.”

Single-day tickets will go on sale next month based on remaining inventory. For further information, fans are invited to contact [email protected].
