EINDHOVEN, Netherlands – Four-time Olympic medallist Kylie Masse of Swimming Canada’s High Performance Centre – Ontario produced five top-three performances this weekend, including two wins but it wasn’t enough for the Toronto Titans to advance to next weekend’s International Swimming League Final.

The Cali Condors won this weekend’s sixth and final playoff match with 532.5 points followed by Iron at 466, Aqua Centurions with 444.5 and the Titans at 331.

The teams advancing to next weekend’s ISL Final are Energy Standard, the Condors, London Roar and L.A. Current. The Titans ranked fifth just two points behind L.A. in the club standings.

Masse, a triple medallist in Tokyo, posted victories in the 50-m and 100-m backstroke in 26.11 and 56.24, was second in the 200 back in 2:02.32 and helped the Titans to second in the women’s 4×100 medley relay and third in the mixed 4×100 medley relay.

‘’’I was determined to get my hand on the wall and get those points for my team,’’ said Masse, from LaSalle, Ont. ‘’It’s been a battle.’’

The other Canadian to post an individual victory was Tessa Cieplucha of Georgetown, Ont., also with the Titans. She won the women’s 400-m individual medley in 4:28.97. She added a third place in the 200-breaststroke clocking 2:21.49 just 0.17 seconds off her personal best in the short course pool and a fourth in the 200 IM.

Kayla Sanchez of HPC Ontario was part of Toronto’s winning 4×100-m freestyle and added a third place finish in the 100 IM.

Three-time Olympian Katerine Savard of Pont-Rouge, Que., is a member of the winning Cali Condors. Savard’s top finish was third in the 200-m butterfly in 2:05.64, less than a half second off her personal best. She also had fourth-place finishes in the 200-m free in 1:54.60 and 4×100 medley relay, and fifth in the 4×100 freestyle relay.

Cole Pratt of Calgary, also with the Titans, swam in seven races this weekend, with his best individual result was fifth in the 200 back.
