Justine’s Bio

  • Morrier won gold in the 100-m breaststroke S14 at the 2018 Pan Pacific Para Swimming Championships in Cairns. She also earned a bronze medal in the 100-m butterfly S14.
  • At the Madeira 2022 World Para Swimming Championships, Morrier was a member of the mixed 4×100-m medley S14 relay that placed 5th and broke the Canadian record. Individually, she placed 8th in the 100-m breaststroke SB14.
  • At the London 2019 World Para Swimming Championships, Morrier’s best performance came in the 100-m butterfly S14, where she finished ninth. She also competed in the 100-m breaststroke SB14 (11th) and 100-m backstroke S14 (15th).
  • At the 2022 Bell Canadian Swimming Trials, Morrier placed 4th in the 100-m butterfly multi-class and 5th in the 100-m breaststroke multi-class. Her performances qualified her for the 2022 World Para Swimming Championships.
  • At the 2019 Canadian Swimming Trials in Toronto, Morrier claimed a multi-class silver medal in the 100-m butterfly.
  • At the 2018 Canadian Swimming Trials, Morrier set a Canadian SB14 record in the 100-m breaststroke and captured silver in the Para multi-class 100-m butterfly.
  • At the 2017 Para-swimming Canadian Open, Morrier broke the Canadian record in the 100-m breaststroke.
  • Morrier won gold in the 200-m IM and set a Canadian record at the 2015 Toronto Parapan Am Games. She also won gold in the 100-m breaststroke and bronze in the 100-m backstroke.
  • Reached the final of two events at 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. Finished 6th in 100-m backstroke and 8th in 100-m breaststroke.
  • Morrier emerged as one of Canada’s top performers at the 2014 Pan Pacific Para-swimming Championships in Pasadena, Calif. She won silver medals in the 50-m freestyle and 100-m breaststroke as well as a bronze in the 200-m individual medley in addition to reaching two other finals.
  • At the 2013 Worlds held in Montreal, Morrier broke the Canadian record and placed eighth in the 100- m backstroke for swimmers with an intellectual impairment.
  • Her other international experience includes a busy 2011, when she competed at the Special Olympics in Athens, the Global Games in Italy and the Pan Pacific Para-swimming Championships in Edmonton.
  • Morrier was Canada’s flag bearer in the opening ceremonies at the Global Games.
  • Katerine Savard is Morrier’s biggest influence. She really admires her butterfly technique.
