Maxime’s Bio

  • Rousselle won a silver medal in the 200-m freestyle at the 2015 Toronto Parapan Am Games.
  • He also swam four events at the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.
  • Rousselle collected three medals at the 2015 Speedo Can Am Para-swimming Championships in Toronto. He won the 200-metre individual medley plus was second in the 200-m freestyle and 100-m backstroke.
  • Rousselle capped a solid 2014 season with silver medals in the 50-m freestyle and 100-m breaststroke at the Pan Pacific Para-swimming Championships in Pasadena, Calif.
  • Rousselle earned a spot on Canada’s team for the 2013 IPC World Championships by lowering three national records at the Can Am Championships in Minnesota. He set new marks in the 100-m butterfly, 100-m freestyle and 200-m individual medley.
  • In 2011, Rousselle helped Canada to two silver medals in relays at the INAS Global Games to set the stage for his first appearance at the Parapan Am Games where he added two more bronze (200-m freestyle, 100-m breaststroke) to his collection.
  • Also in 2011 he earned two gold at the Defi Sportif and four gold at the national championships.
